Elinor Niemisto holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan. She is instructor of harp at Carleton College (since 1980) and St. Olaf College (since 1982). Elinor is principal harpist with the Rochester (MN) Orchestra (since 1979) and the La Crosse (WI) Symphony (since 1990). Elinor teaches traditional and Suzuki harp lessons to students from ages 6 to 60. A long time Suzuki harp specialist, she has been an instructor at the Salt Lake City (UT) Suzuki Institute and at the Stevens Point (WI) Institute. Elinor has been serving on the Board of Directors of the American Harp Society and was co-chair of the AHS 2017 Summer Institute and Competition.
